Madison Beer released a film-inspired music video for her latest single, “BOYSH*T,” and it is absolutely iconic.
The single comes off her upcoming debut album, Life Support, set to release on February 26th which also features previous releases, “Good In Goodbye,” “Selfish,” “Stained Glass,” and “Baby.”
The “Heathers” and “Blue Velvet” cult-films aesthetic music video was directed by Lauren Dunn. Dunn drew inspiration from David Lynch’s scenes of Americana and created the idea of Beer as “the one who gets away” and teaches a group of women about the difficulties in relationships and how to deal with someones’…well, BOYSH*T.
Beer describes the music video as a “tongue-in-cheek nod to dealing with toxic masculinity.” She also expresses that “‘BOYSH*T’ is about knowing your worth and taking back your power in a relationship that clearly has its problems.”
Beer hopes this song serves as a message to her fans that they are worth more than anyone’s BS.
